Piratecom headsets reduce hearing loss/damage risks in high noise environments.
    Reading, Pennsylvania - January 3, 2005

According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD),
approximately 28 million people in the U.S. have some degree of reduced hearing sensitivity/hearing
while 30 million more are exposed to dangerous noise levels each day.  The American Speech-
Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) has indicated that as many as 30 million Americans consider
tinnitus ("ringing in the ears") a problem. High levels of noise exposure are a contributing factor to
tinnitus.  Piratecom’s L10 headsets reduce noise levels more than 20 times!
